Waiting For His Return

The Lord Jesus Christ, just as He was taken up into heaven, will in like manner return (Acts 1:11). For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).

The gathering of the saints by Jesus will trigger a tribulation period that will last seven years. And immediately after the tribulation of those days (Matthew 24:29) the Lord will return with all His saints (Zechariah 14:5) and set up His Kingdom upon the earth (Daniel 2:44, Isaiah 9:7) where we will reign with Him for 1000 years (Revelation 20:6).

We now wait for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 1:7).
